The Role

As we continue to expand across the US, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Account Executive to help accelerate our growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Microsoft Solutions Partner, build strategic relationships within Microsoft, generate new business opportunities, and play a key role in shaping our presence in the US market.

As an Account Executive, you'll be focused on driving net new business growth, working closely with Microsoft to generate and convert opportunities into revenue.

You'll build strong relationships across Microsoft sales teams (STU & ATU), uncover co-sell opportunities, and own deals from initial engagement through to close before handing over to delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

Sales Channel Development

  • Build and grow trusted relationships within Microsoft (STU & ATU as a core focus).

  • Generate referrals, co-sell opportunities and joint pursuits with Microsoft sellers.

  • Expand your Microsoft network to unlock funding streams including ECIF, MCI and Co-Sell opportunities.

  • Partner with Marketing and the VP North America to develop direct sales channels.

  • Work closely with delivery teams to support ongoing client growth.

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Own a net new revenue target and define how you'll achieve it.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industry verticals.

  • Build strategic account plans that support long-term customer growth.

  • Bring in pre-sales and technical support at the right stage to maximise deal value.

Negotiation & Closing

  • Build and present commercial proposals and Statements of Work.

  • Negotiate outcomes that work for the client, Microsoft and Changing Social.

  • Close deals and ensure a smooth handover to delivery.

  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain strong knowledge across:

  • Microsoft 365

  • Copilot & Copilot Studio

  • Power Platform

  • Modern Work (including Viva)

  • Understand how Changing Social's services align to customer outcomes.

  • Lead high-level demos and presentations.

  • Stay up to date with Microsoft roadmap developments and market changes.

Market & Competitor Insight

  • Track market trends, Microsoft programme changes and competitor activity.

  • Share market insight with leadership and proposition teams.

  • Adapt your approach based on customer needs and market signals.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Manage pipeline, contacts and forecasting through CRM.

  • Keep data accurate and up to date.

  • Report on pipeline health and sales performance.

  • Confidently forecast monthly numbers including committed, uncommitted and upside opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets.

  • 3+ years of experience selling Microsoft technologies.

  • Strong experience within services-based sales.

  • Experience working with complex stakeholder groups and enterprise customers.

  • Ability to build and manage a pipeline from opportunity creation through to close.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and business development strategies.

  • Ability to apply knowledge in real client scenarios.

  • Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and development.

  • Understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem, programmes and partner landscape.
