About the position

AEO Production Interns will participate in our internship program in our New York Design Office. Students are given a 10 week full time, paid assignment where they get to work side-by-side with our production team and cross-functional partners within the AE or Aerie brand. This is a great opportunity to learn about our corporate culture and meet other talented students and associates within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Design partners to monitor fabric, trim and wash development; owns approval process
  • Track and access weekly factory production status reports/ approval status report
  • Communicate daily with internal/ external partners regarding style development, production and delivery information
  • Adhere to the calendar; responsible for all sample tracking and to ensure on-time delivery of all development
  • Sends out PDM and packages to vendors, tracks delivery
  • Maintain and organize costing records
  • Maintain and organize style information records
  • Partners with Coordinators on garment cost, quantity, production planning, sourcing and delivery
  • Interpret collected information, react appropriately, and communicate with affected parties in a timely manner
  • Prepares and communicates the agenda for cross functional team meetings; attends meetings
  • Reviews and measures Fit Samples and TOP sample
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or relevant area of study.
  • Must be in your Junior Academic Year - Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Solution oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google programs
  • Ability to be in the New York City area for the Summer
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment which will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business
