Role Description

Responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise imaging applications, including:

  • Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
  • Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA)
  • DICOM and HL7 integrations
  • Image exchange platforms
  • Post-processing applications

Provides production support to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of imaging systems used across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation:
    • Evaluate project requests and conduct current state assessments.
    • Gather and define requirements, design future state, and build applications.
    • Lead implementation teams in planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
    • Contribute to training curriculum, post-implementation documentation, and production support services.
    • Ensure systems design supports corporate policies and federal legislation.
    • Work with customer departments to ensure solutions fit organization-wide.
  • Project Management:
    • Prepare detailed project plans and lead application teams in adhering to schedules.
    • Identify and escalate issues to appropriate groups to ensure successful implementation.
    • Facilitate change request processes and prepare supporting documentation.
    • Provide weekly status updates on assigned projects.
    • Coordinate support with Project Management Office (PMO) as needed.
  • Maintenance, Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor, acknowledge, and resolve ServiceNow tickets.
    • Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures.
  • Administrative:
    • Log hours for project-related work in the Project Portfolio Management system weekly.
    • Utilize ALM Quality Center for creating test cases and scripts.
    • Attend relevant meetings as needed.
  • Production Support and Maintenance:
    • Provide on-call support as defined by the group or application suite.
    • Ensure integrity, integration, and stability of production systems.
    • Formulate system scope and objectives for complex system designs.
    • Monitor daily checklists for servers, services, backups, and more.
    • Coordinate and document hardware and software support and upgrades.
    • Troubleshoot application, process, and technical issues.
    • Complete documentation as needed and coordinate tasks during downtimes.
    • Support training of IS staff and end-users as needed.
    • Communicate with key stakeholders regarding downtimes and issues.
    • Stay current with new application functionality and enhancements.
  • Project Assignments:
    • Design, develop, and manage implementation approaches using standard project management tools.
    • Analyze user problems and recommend optimum resolutions.
    • Consult with departments on enhancements for integration.
    • Participate in design, build, test, troubleshooting, and conversions.
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate detailed process flows and documentation.
    • Develop project plans with system specifications based on defined requirements.
    • Serve as technical leader for project integration aspects.
    • Coordinate department testing efforts and communicate regularly with customers.
    • Mentor other System Analysts and assist with complex assignments.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years work-related experience (Required)
  • Project management experience (Required)
  • Direct experience related to similar systems installed at Children's (Required)
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Required)
  • Enterprise App Analysts must demonstrate competency in software used in their role.
  • All training and testing applicable to the role must be completed within 90 days of employment (Required)
  • If an internal candidate, 4 years of direct application experience overrides the need for a Bachelor's degree (Required)

Requirements

  • Possess or ability to achieve Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) from the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) within six months.
