<p><strong>Business Development Representative (BDR) – Founding Sales Hire (US Remote)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><em>Our client is an AI-native Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps platform helping engineering teams automate infrastructure operations through AI to resolve operational challenges faster and with greater context. Founded by former Monday.com leaders, they are backed by early-stage investors and working with paying customers across the technology start-up sector. As they scale, they are looking for their first dedicated Business Development Representative.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p><em>This is not a traditional BDR role. As their first outbound sales hire, you'll play a critical role in helping define how they generate a pipeline. You'll work directly with the founders to identify target accounts, develop messaging, execute outbound campaigns and consistently book meetings with engineering leaders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from scratch, thrives in early-stage start-ups and wants significant ownership.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Build and manage outbound prospecting campaigns.</li><li>Generate qualified meetings with CTOs, VP Engineering, Head of Platform and DevOps leaders.</li><li>Conduct high-volume cold calling and personalised outreach via email and LinkedIn.</li><li>Build target account lists and identify buying signals.</li><li>Develop and continuously improve outbound messaging and sequences.</li><li>Qualify prospects and schedule discovery meetings for the founders.</li><li>Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting.</li><li>Share market feedback to help refine positioning and messaging.</li><li>Help establish repeatable outbound processes as the company grows.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><p><strong>Must Haves</strong></p><ul><li>2–5 years of experience in a BDR, SDR or outbound sales role.</li><li>Strong cold-calling skills and confidence initiating conversations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed outbound targets.</li><li>Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of modern sales tools including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, HubSpot, Outreach or similar platforms.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Haves</strong></p><ul><li>Experience selling DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Platform Engineering or Developer Tools.</li><li>Proven success prospecting into technical buyers, including CTOs, VP Engineering or Infrastructure leaders.</li><li>Experience working in an early-stage startup (Seed to Series B preferred).</li><li>Familiarity with AI products or technical software.</li><li>Experience building outbound processes from scratch.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Success in the First 90 Days</strong></p><ul><li>Develop a repeatable outbound prospecting cadence.</li><li>Build a qualified target account list.</li><li>Launch multi-channel outbound campaigns.</li><li>Consistently book qualified meetings with target customers.</li><li>Provide insights that improve messaging and sales strategy.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p>You enjoy working in ambiguity and don't wait for someone to tell you exactly what to do.
